Our Community Impact Across Sheppey & Swale
Since September 2025, Sheppey Pulse Network has continued to grow into a community-led, volunteer-supported and partnership-driven charity dedicated to supporting residents across the Isle of Sheppey and wider Swale area.
Our work focuses on delivering practical support, community wellbeing initiatives, mental health awareness, family assistance and emergency aid to individuals and households facing difficult circumstances. Through collaboration with local organisations, volunteers, sponsors and community partners, we have been able to provide direct support to hundreds of residents while continuing to expand our outreach and services.
Community Reach
Between September 2025 and April 2026, Sheppey Pulse Network directly supported over 200 individuals across Sheppey and Swale through a range of community initiatives, support services and donation projects.
This support has included food assistance, wellbeing initiatives, targeted family support, care packages, children’s donations, community events and partnership-led outreach designed to reduce hardship, improve wellbeing and strengthen community connection.
Food & Essential Support
Food insecurity and financial hardship continue to affect many households within the local area. In response, Sheppey Pulse Network has delivered ongoing foodbank and essential support initiatives to help residents access vital resources when needed most.
Our impact has included:
- 40 food hampers distributed
- 80 Christmas meals provided supporting both adults and children
- Ongoing foodbank development and emergency support initiatives
- Essential donations and practical aid distributed throughout the community
These initiatives have helped ease pressure on struggling households while ensuring families had access to food and support during key periods such as Christmas and seasonal holidays.
Care Packages & Donations
Supporting vulnerable individuals through compassionate community outreach has remained a key part of our work. Through donations, partnerships and volunteer support, we have provided a wide range of care packages and wellbeing-focused initiatives, including:
- 23 care packages delivered to hospital and homeless services
- 10 housewarming welcome starter packs provided
- 6 mum and baby hampers distributed
- 12 children’s shoeboxes donated
- 12 children’s stockings donated during the Christmas period
These projects were created to provide comfort, dignity and practical support to individuals and families facing challenging circumstances.
Family & Community Support
Families across Sheppey and Swale have also benefited from targeted support initiatives designed to reduce isolation and provide additional help during difficult times.
During the Christmas period alone, 26 families received targeted family support, helping households access essential items, seasonal assistance and wellbeing support.
Additional community initiatives included:
- Easter donations to Leysdown Family Hub
- Donations supporting local children and family services
- Contributions to local fundraising and community wellbeing projects
- Support for community organisations and collaborative initiatives across Swale
Direct Community Contributions
As part of our commitment to strengthening community partnerships, Sheppey Pulse Network also distributed £260 in direct community contributions to local organisations and initiatives including:
- ROAR
- Sheppey FM
- Caring with Colours
- Wonky Warriors
- Shurland Meadow community initiatives
These contributions helped support wider community projects and strengthen local partnership working.
Partnerships, Collaboration & Growth
Strong partnerships remain at the heart of everything we do. Since launching, Sheppey Pulse Network has:
- Worked alongside 12 collaborating organisations
- Secured support from 6 active sponsors
- Delivered a successful community mental health and wellbeing event in April 2026
- Continued developing over 6 active community initiatives with further programmes planned throughout 2026
By working together with local charities, organisations, volunteers and businesses, we continue to build sustainable support networks that benefit residents throughout Sheppey and Swale.
