Can you help?
Can you provide a new storage area?
Can you provide us with a free storage space in the Swale area?
OR...
Can you gift us a new shed to store our charity stock in?
We would be grateful for any support whilst we still navigate the forever journey of seeking funding.
We also are selling new gazebos unused to raise funds, these were surplus items bought for our launch day in August 2025. £25 each all proceeds go towards buying a shed for storage.

APRIL MENTAL HEALTH & WELL BEING WORKSHOP

ILLUMINATE Mental Health & Wellbeing Event – April 2026
In April 2026, Sheppey Pulse Network proudly hosted the ILLUMINATE Mental Health & Wellbeing Event, bringing together local organisations, charities, creatives, community groups and support services for a fantastic day of networking, collaboration and community connection.
The event was designed to promote mental health awareness, wellbeing support, community engagement and partnership working across the Isle of Sheppey and wider Kent area. With 12 organisations and representatives involved, the day created valuable opportunities for services to connect, share resources and build future collaborations that benefit local residents.
Those involved included:
- ROAR
- Kent Police
- Healthwatch Kent
- Hungry Hearts for the Homeless
- Friendly Fellas
- Caddie Phoenic
- Nasty Gallery
- NexYouth
- Curve Miss Glamour Swale Rebecca Tiffany Port
- SSAFA — although unfortunately unable to attend in person due to a branch restructure taking place at the same time, their support and involvement was still greatly appreciated.
- Sheppey Pulse Network
The atmosphere throughout the day was uplifting, supportive and inspiring, showcasing the strength of community partnerships and the importance of creating safe spaces for open conversations around mental health and wellbeing.
ILLUMINATE highlighted the positive impact that collaboration and compassion can have within our communities, and we look forward to continuing to build strong partnerships that support and empower local residents across the Isle of Sheppey and beyond.
Sheppey Pulse Network Charity Foodbank
Sheppey Pulse Network is proud to provide a community-focused foodbank service supporting residents across Leysdown, Minster and Warden Bay.
Created to help local households facing financial hardship, food insecurity or unexpected difficulties, our foodbank operates with dignity, compassion and without judgement — ensuring support is accessible to those who need a helping hand.
Our service currently provides:
- Free food support for local residents
- One full food parcel every 4 weeks per household
- Collection service on allocated advertised days
- Self-referral options for residents not currently linked with support services
- Referral pathways through local organisations and community partners
While the service currently operates as a collection-based foodbank, plans are already being developed to introduce a delivery service for vulnerable residents who may struggle to attend collection points due to health, mobility or personal circumstances.
Supporting the communities of Leysdown, Minster and Warden Bay means extending vital assistance to hundreds of local residents across the Isle of Sheppey, helping to reduce food poverty, ease financial pressure and provide reassurance during difficult times. For many households, access to food support can make a significant difference to wellbeing, stability and day-to-day living.
Alongside emergency food provision, the project also helps strengthen community connection by creating a welcoming, supportive environment where residents can access guidance, compassion and practical support without stigma.
The Sheppey Pulse Network Charity Foodbank is powered by community support, volunteers, partnerships and donations — working together to ensure no one feels alone during times of hardship.

As part of our Foodbank launch we did a £5 bag challenge in the community. We gave a £40 grocery voucher to the winner who could give the most at the value of £5.

Recognising Community Support
Sheppey Pulse Network would like to extend a heartfelt thank you and recognition to two local businesses whose generosity and community spirit have made a meaningful difference to our Charity Foodbank initiative.
We are incredibly grateful to Co-op Food Thistle Hill for their large food donations and continued support towards helping local residents and families in need across the community. Their contributions have helped strengthen our foodbank support and ensure essential items reach households facing difficult circumstances.
We would also like to sincerely thank Little Spanish Deliveries, one of our valued sponsors, for their generous large-scale donations and ongoing support of our community work. Their kindness and willingness to support local residents demonstrates the power of businesses working alongside community organisations to create positive change.
Support from local businesses plays a vital role in helping us continue expanding our services and supporting residents across Sheppey and Swale. Donations such as these directly contribute towards helping individuals and families access essential food support with dignity, compassion and care.
Together, through partnership, kindness and community spirit, we continue making a real difference for local people who need support the most.

ROAR is a Kent-based charity supporting individuals who are rebuilding their lives after experiencing significant challenges, including homelessness and complex life transitions. Through practical support, advocacy, and guidance, ROAR helps people regain stability, independence, and confidence as they move forward.
Why Housewarming Starter Packs Matter
Sheppey Pulse Network Charity believes that a safe, supported start is essential when someone is beginning a new chapter. Housewarming Starter Packs provide practical essentials that help turn accommodation into a home, offering dignity, comfort, and reassurance at a crucial time. By working in partnership with ROAR through a referral system, we can ensure this support reaches those who need it most, when it matters most.
Swale Borough Council
Supporting Families Through Partnership Working
Sheppey Pulse Network has proudly worked in partnership with Swale Borough Council to help support vulnerable residents and families experiencing hardship across the local community.
As part of this collaborative community support initiative, Sheppey Pulse Network provided Housewarming Welcome Starter Packs to 8 families in need who were moving into accommodation with limited household essentials or facing difficult personal circumstances.
The starter packs were designed to provide practical support and help families feel more comfortable, settled and supported during what can often be a stressful and emotional transition period. The initiative helped reduce immediate financial pressures while assisting families in creating a safer and more welcoming home environment.
This partnership highlights the importance of community organisations and local authorities working together to ensure support reaches families who need it most. Through compassion, collaboration and community-focused action, meaningful support can be delivered directly to local households facing challenging circumstances.
The total to date of distributed packs as of May is 10, we still have a further 6 to distribute between now and December 2026.
At Sheppey Pulse Network, we remain committed to developing impactful partnerships and delivering practical initiatives that strengthen and support communities across Sheppey and Swale.

💜 About Sheppey Pulse Network
Sheppey Pulse Network (SPN) is a grassroots, volunteer-led organisation on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. Our mission is simple: to uplift and empower our community — especially those facing hardship, isolation, or lack of support.
We organise community events, support local charities, run donation drives, and step in wherever there's a need — from birthday boxes for lonely residents to food support for struggling families.
Although we are not yet a registered charity, we operate within the framework of charity law and are actively awaiting approval from the Charity Commission. Every penny donated goes directly to the community — we are 100% volunteer-run, with no wages, admin fees, or overheads.
Whether you give a little or a lot, you're helping us bridge the gap for those who feel forgotten.
Thank you for helping us celebrate local life and build a stronger, more connected Sheppey & Swale

Easter 2026
Easter 2026 Community Donation
During Easter 2026, Sheppey Pulse Network proudly donated 25 Easter combinations of sweets and multiple Easter eggs to Leysdown Family Hub to support local children and families during the Easter period.
The Easter donations were provided for staff at the family hub to distribute to children attending the service, helping to spread kindness, positivity and community spirit throughout the local area.
Leysdown Family Hub provides valuable support services for local families, children and parents within the community. The hub offers a welcoming environment where residents can access guidance, family support, activities for children, wellbeing services and connections to additional local support networks. Their work plays an important role in helping families feel supported, connected and empowered within the community.
Seasonal donations such as these may seem simple, but they can make a meaningful difference to children and families who may be facing financial pressures or difficult circumstances. Small gestures of kindness can help create happy memories, encourage inclusion and remind local residents that their community cares.
At Sheppey Pulse Network, we remain committed to supporting community wellbeing through acts of compassion, partnership working and local initiatives that bring people together.

Our first donation initiative isn’t heading straight into the community — it’s heading into your drawers! With a fun and sustainable twist, we’re collecting old, unloved bras to be responsibly recycled, raising vital funds to support our ongoing community projects. Instead of letting them gather dust (or poke you in the ribs), donate them to us and help turn yesterday’s lingerie into tomorrow’s community impact. It’s the perfect excuse for a clear-out, a giggle, and doing real good — all at the same time.

Wrap Them in Care, Change a Life
Charity Update: Supporting Our New Parents
We are currently running a Nappies & Wipes Drive to give new parents in our community a helping hand during what can be a challenging time.
If you would like to donate nappies, pull-ups, wipes, or any brand-new, unopened baby essentials, we would be truly grateful. We can also accept opened packs, provided they remain in their original packaging.
Our goal is to support 10–20 families, and thanks to the kindness of our supporters, we are already helping six families. With your generosity, we can reach even more parents who need us right now.
From all of us at Sheppey Pulse Network, thank you for your continued support — our community thrives because of people like YOU.
HOPE
🌟 Hope This Christmas 🌟
This Christmas, we are reminded that hope shines brightest in the darkest of times. In a world that has felt heavy and uncertain, giving becomes more than just a gesture – it becomes an act of transformation. By sharing with thoughtfulness and empathy, we not only meet a need but also inspire change in how we see and support one another.
At Sheppey Pulse Network, we believe that every person deserves to feel valued, cared for, and uplifted – especially those who are struggling. Your kindness helps us turn challenges into moments of hope, and together we can create a ripple of compassion that transforms lives. Sometimes, all it takes is a helping hand to remind someone that they are not alone.
This season, let’s give with open hearts and be the change that makes Christmas truly meaningful. ❤️
